Nipponzan Myohoji - Atlanta Dojo
Na Mu Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo
It has become a cherished tradition to honor and call to mind people who have passed, members of our families as well as friends in this summer ceremony of Obon, the Ancestors Ceremony. We wish to thank everyone who has called, emailed or written to express their concern and sympathy regarding the victims of Japan’s earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. Utsumi-shonin visited Japan in May, spending time with his family and at temples affected by the earthquake. We wish to include the victims of this triple-disaster in our remembrance on July 16.
All life is precious. We know this most acutely when loved ones pass. Please bring a small photo of the people you would like to commemorate as well as flowers or a gift to place on the altar.
The Atlanta Dojo is located at 1127 Glenwood Ave., Atlanta, GA 30316.
Directions can be found at http://atlantadojo.org .
Please feel free to bring friends to the ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m., and stay for lunch immediately after. You can reach us at email@example.com or at 404-627-8948.
